NEWTON ARBORETUM
& BOTANICAL
GARDENS

Share your knowledge and enthusiasm. The gardens, trees and plants of the Arboretum and the Community Flower Beds need constant care. Learn about horticulture by assisting with planting, weeding, mulching, and much more. Volunteers are also needed at special events such as our annual Plant Sale, Garden Walk, and other community programs. If you have public relation skills, help Project AWAKE advertise our programs and accomplishments. Through volunteering you can select your interests and work at your convience while beautifying the community.

Volunteer opportunities:

- Adopting a community flower bed (planning, planting, and maintaining throughout the season
- Adopting a bed at the Arboretum
- Flower bed design and plant selection
- Help with planting, mulching, weeding, and watering
- Working at the Annual Plant sale
- Hosting homes on the Annual Garden Walk
- Hosting tour groups at the Krumm Horticulture Learning Center
- Presenting horticulture programs
- Helping with public relations
- Helping with fund raising campaigns/mailings
